Artist Statement

Somewhere along the way, we stopped having fun. We got busy, got serious, got tired. Hobbies became side hustles. Weekends became catch-up on chores days. Play couldn’t exist in a world centered on productivity.

I make art that pulls people back to their joyful selves — bold color, movement, and the small joyful moments we tend to overlook.

I'm an oil pastel painter, educator, and the founder of ART BLOCK. I paint the moments that invite us to slow down and connect—and I teach and lead events that let other people feel that too. Born and raised in Los Angeles, now happily rooted in Greater Boston.

I don’t just make art. I build rooms where other people can too.

In 2023 I founded ART BLOCK — a free, recurring community art gathering for people across Greater Boston to make things and make friends. No experience needed, no pressure to be good. Just materials on the table and permission to play.

It's grown to 250+ members across three chapters, and it's the clearest proof of what I believe: art is better when it's shared, and process beats perfection every time.
